I'm a Muslim. And I know I don't act like one. ;__; gay things constantly corrupt my mind. If you don't mind me asking, what about you?

Can I put my two cents worth in here? Just before I start...If I offend anyone, I'm so sorry, I don't do it intentionally
I'm an athiest. I don't believe in organised religion at all. I...For lack of a better word, admire the people that do look up to their Gods, but being brought up in a non-religious home, can't really understand it all. I've got friends of all religions-Athiest, Muslim, Buhddist, Christian...I don't judge them on that. The only thing I really hate about the Christian belief is the closed-mindesness of them when it comes to gay people and gay marriages. My auntie's a lesbian and I have gay friends that I adore-They're the best! I'm in between on wether I follow more science or more religion. There's some things within certain religions I do believe in (Reincarnation being one of those), yet I follow science as well.
Okay...Enough of the religion stuff, onto war I'm totally and utterly anti-war. We've sent our soldiers over to fight for George Bush, when he's done practically nothing in return for us. In a nutshell, war is pointless, stupid and ignorant. Yet we will never be able to have 'world peace' simply because everyone is different and we won't all get along all the time. Friends and family fight just like they're doing over in Iraq- I had a fight with my mother a few days ago, and a few guys had an argument last night. Anyone care to rebutt any of that?

all religions are focused on a certain ' path ' hell, im half of 2 major religions and i believe in a bit of everything. you have free choice in this world.. follow one path, follow all paths and sometimes some people dont even follow a path. do what you want to do, be what you want to be, live life and do whatever you want, the world is your fruit and its ripe for the picking.. go nuts... * goes nuts *

Firstly... the reincarnation subject again. I believe the soul does develop and grow through its different forms, and not just erase like a memory card. You may learn a valuable lesson in one life that you carry with you to your next one, until you reach your "perfect" incarnation, which I guess would then go to heaven. I'm no theology expert. Nothing wrong with you being Muslim, Rash, in fact I hate the skewed perspectives of westerners who think everyone of one faith is like a few radical members of it. It's like blaming all modern Christians or catholics or whatever for the Salem Witch trials. I think that I myself am guilty of it sometimes when I say, "oh, religious people all try to cram their faiths down your throat" when that's a blatant stereotype. As for war.... I said it once but i'll repeat: war is mankind thinking he is smart enough to fix the rest of the world. We fight because we believe our way is best and that our actions are justified. War is chaotic, war is hell, and yet there isn't much we can do about it. War existed ever since the dawn of humanity, be it little disputes about territory or food or anything along the light, it exists amongst the animals (wolf packs fight over hunting ground) and will exist so long as there are two people with opposing beliefs. War exists within the school and the home and the air and the land..... and yet what would happen without it? The weak would give in to the strong the world would never change and maybe people might be happier..... or would they?

War is based on humans primal instincts. He is a selfish being who makes war and destroys everything around him, even himself. As long as mankind lives...there will be no peace.
Like the plague, he swarms leaving death and chaos in his wake. Breeding continuously in his own filth He devours, dominates and annilates all in his path He will fight himself, and destroy himself and be born again. Yet, though this beast is death he can also love... for all it takes for evil to conquer.... ..is for good men to do nothing...

Actually I feel kinda relieved to know there'd be no reprisal about what religion I follow. I know it may seem pessimistic to be feeling that way but I had a bad experience with one particular chatroom so...yeah. You guys are great =)
Likening men to plague is saddening...but what else is more accurate? Men destroy nature and themselves. But at least now there are those who realize the destruction around, and are trying to make amends. Sadly however there are more people who would stand up against them rather than stand alongside them. I guess to some momentary money and power are more important than our children's future.
Heard that there's an election in the US. What's happening over there exactly?

i excatly know but all i know is that president bush aint looking good.. and about the plague resembeling man, think about it, he swarms meaning there are alot of him and there is so much that he is overpopulating, and when you think about it he has nearly conquered every corner of the globe hasnt he? and wherever he goes he destroys the environment and sucks the land and sea dry from too much hunting as there is too much of him and when he cant fight with anything else he fights himself. Man is like the plague when you think about it.

Too true, there is no denying that men is like plague. But like I said now there are those who now try to heal. Nothing that has been done can be unmade of course but at least something is being done. While there have been definitive steps on conservation, it seems as if nothing is being done to curb war. Even the UN is rather one-sided, since the countries of power or something there each has their own personal interest in each battlefield blood is being shed. I understand there're all those protests to bring back their soldiers but is the government heeding any of them? Btw Solus, in those four last lines of your poem, /Yet, though this beast is death he can also love... for all it takes for evil to conquer.... ..is for good men to do nothing...\ -sounds like there's still hope, na?

there is still hope.. as it says.. all it takes for evil to conquer is for good men to do nothing.. and what are people doing?...theyre doing something..even though the efforts seem small... its like a drop of water in the pond..it will seem small and meaningless.. but one day that ripple the drop makes will carry outwards..right unto the edges of the pond and will shift one grain of sand... the more people.. the more drops of water..the sands will shift and the lake will change and grow..getting bigger.... and stronger until the pond grows.. and so forth..
(( i like them poems.. i made them myself.. GHEE! ;D ))

Lovely poem solus.... couldn'ta put it better myself.... Mankind is a plague, true, but as rash says, we ARE trying to heal the scab we put on the face of this earth....Although I think that there is a strong opposition to war and to the wast of earth's resources, it's not doing much... sure, there are so many people sayin', "oh, it's terrible", but who is DOING something about it? I confess that I myself am selfish in this manner... my own happiness in this life seems more important to me than going out and huggin' trees -___- I'm all talk.... as are many people who say there's a problem with the earth. And that's why peace and a happy environment are talked about but not happening -____- I wouldn't discriminate against ya cause of your religion Rash. That's one of the things I hate most is prejudice ^___^ Some people are just ignorant.... especially chatroom people -___- I hate chatrooms.

We need to get off our big butts and start doing something about the world's problems, no matter how small. We're struggling through one of the worst droughts on record because of our own stupidity and ignorance! I am guilty of thinking "Oh, I'm one person. What difference am I going to make?" And I know it's a cliche, but it does change something. But, yeah...I try to help in small ways. Religion doesn't matter to me. One of my best friends is a Muslim, so I'm not going to be descriminating against anyone any time soon. I've been brought up in an extremely multicultural city ^_^ I love the exposure I've gotten to so many different people
