It was all happening too fast, but there was no way to control it. He felt trapped, in a way. Deep in his gut, he wasn't ready to move on, and this child..This..replacement, wasn't going to change the fact that he had lost another.
He kept this to himself, of course. And eventually, it will eat its way through him. ~
