I know but I just memorized those beacause I wanted to sing them in a talent show.. and I don't memorize stuff unless I have to.

Talent contest.. Remember this, when it comes to singing, you should choose a song that could suit your way of singing, rather than in terms of preferences.

Just try a variation of songs, and see which one you are comfortable and confident singing..

I like to sing the Knockin' On Heavan's Door song but people say that it's kinda flat, and there's this other song that I only know one little part of but I think I'm good at it...

Then you should go ahead and practice that song.. If you feel you are comfortable in singing that and you are confident, it is a song suited for you. :]
