- Her heart was heavy, and full of discontent. She watched the water ripple across its glossy, flat surface as the gentle wind blew against it lightly. She started to day dream, her almond shaped eyes following the ripple like a maze. It kept her occupied and it stopped her from thinking. Brushing her fingers against the rough stone of the bridge, she drew her breathe. She wished so that the heaviness in her heart would disappear. She felt as though she was slowly dying inside of loneliness. She felt doomed. -

It draws you in, doesn't it? The water's reflection...
*appears behind her. He looked haggard, as though he haven't been sleeping for days. (yes, even demons need sleep). There was no expression on his face when he looked past her. It was as though something died within him*

Hm.. *She flicked a dried leaf off the stone, and it fluttered onto the watery surface, floating away slowly.*
It is rather..uh.. *sigh* I can't even think of a word to describe it.. It is very..peaceful, somewhat.

*He chuckled at this, but the mirth died along with whatever that faded in him. He was, after all, a broken toy. Watching at the leaf floating away, he thought about something from long ago. That memory is slowly fleeting away, he realised, despite the fact that he was trying his best to let it remain. Images of Emeliesa haunted him, but he willed them away.*
Much like death now, isn't it? A peaceful death, for one who drifts aimlessly...

What is with you and your fascination with death, Razakel?

Not many notice, but there is art in death. Beauty at its peak, romance at its climax, tragedies at its best. *turns to her* Do you not see it? *his voice sounded rather monotone* The end has reached the end.

I do not think that way.. *She traced her finger along the cracks of the stone.*
It is..to me.. a new beginning from an ending..

*laughs at her mockfully* So you truly believe in the afterlife, do you, mortal?

..Eh. *swt* I did not mean for the dead, baka. I meant for those they have left behind. *She scowled at him, before turning away.*
Very rude, Razakel.
One has to lose in order to gain, as the saying goes..

Then again, you may have to consider this, my dear. What if that one person has lost everything and has nothing to trade for the gain, hm? *smirks* Tell me this, and I will consider changing my perception.

There is always something.. They are just not looking hard enough..or have been blinded by their own thoughts or self-pity, that they have not seen it right in front of their own eyes. Sometimes.. we overlook these things..and think of them as nothing.
*She crossed her arms, feeling herself grow cold.*

*despite the fact that that something in him died, he still retained that gentleman side of his. He took off his coat and wrapped it around her without saying a word*
Only one with such high-esteem could do such a thing. One with hope. One with life. *looks around him* One with power to change one's destiny. Yet, when one has walked upon that path, 'tis unchangeable. Hope deserts, and despair haunts.
Thus, he wallows sorrowfully in his heart at the cry of despair.

The only person with the power to change one's destiny is himself. What good is wallowing in one's own self pity, Razakel-sama? Does it not degrade himself? Life does not work that way.. What you speak of, is not life at all.
*She looked up at him.*
What is life to you, Razakel?

((Philosophical, aren't we?))
Life is momentary, hard to gain, full of challenges with meaningful moments. Choices are abundant in life, but by choosing one, you lose life little by little. *spreads his arms* It fades. It is the end. It's...not lasting.
What if the life I've been living is not life at all? *chuckles* After all, I lack this entity called a soul...*taps at his own chest*

(( i cannot think man ;_; ))
*She looked past the river, watching it and thinking deeply.*
One can not realise he has lost a soul, my dear Razakel.
- The wind blew past them briskly -
If you know..you have lost your soul..then you still have a soul to lose, no? If you have lost your soul, you would not even know it, because you cannot feel it's loss. You feel loss, do you not? *She rubbed her chin.*
Perhaps that loss is one of the few challenges that make life what it is.
