" You have the ability to switch between personalities at any given time. The Jekyll and Hyde syndrome, we call it. One personality is disorderly, inhumane, and has no issues with emotions or morality. It is manufactured to be a cold blooded killer. It has given your body massive strength, amazing reflex and motor skills as well as durability. Your particular mutation was specifically designed to be able to be manipulated. The tumour in your brain was actually sealing a chip, that could trigger when and where these effects take place. So let's say you're taken prisoner into the enemy base. They turn it on, boom, they're all dead. You'll be able to finish them off in an instance. And if you do end up getting killed, it would just be considered a martyr. "

" Yea. So it's up to you. We could try and get rid of it permanently, or you could learn how to control it. "

" Yea, but it's killing his brain, slowly but surely. They cause a lot of hallucinations, paranoia, nightmares, headaches, personality disorder, confusion, violent outbursts and in some cases, amnesia, even problems sleeping. We have to remove it completely. It's best if we do that for you as well. A majority of subjects have the same thing, commonly mistaken for haemagioblastoma, another benign tumour caused by hereditary diseases. It takes years for it to really take effect. For you, it really started about 8 or 9 years back. Small symptoms of it. "

" So, are you going to opt for surgery? These tumours are releasing chemicals into your brain and blood stream, which is causing the mutation, really. If we remove it, it'll put the mutation to a halt, and you can gain better control of it. You'll also have a better chance of living a fuller, more healthier life. Gary is having his remove, as we speak, as well as the woman who attacked you, 063."

" Don't worry, I've been looking after him. He's with the other kids at the nursery. He doesn't quite socialise with them, though. That's worrying. We're still checking to see if he inherited anything from you two. Both parents with the mutant gene, his chances of being affected are astounding. "

" Well yeah.. Oh. Ok, I don't think you remember. He was one of these people who inherit the mutation. It wasn't as rapid as yours is, but it still grew. You see, his mother was among the first few patients to be given these drugs. Since she was institutionalised, and already mental, they took her and started experimenting on her. The treatment had serious side effects and the study was shut down. Every child carried the mutant gene, and in order to cover it up, they took them away from their parents, and placed them with foster parents around the world. Around the time you were brought in for testing, was the time they re-opened the study, this time with more effective drug with side-effects that are less severe, and are more of annoyances. Murdoc and others like him are categorised under the failed-experiments. The ones with little to no effect. Well, at least that's what they believe. We here believe the mutation has taken great effect and can only be triggered through certain substances, like...hmm..speed, for example. It could trigger the gene to take effect on the body and slowly start to build up in the system. "

" I can understand why. You've been spoon-fed crap for years." *she wrinkles her nose*
"So has everyone else. But we have evidence to back it up. If you can stand and walk, I'll talk you to the vault. We have videos, files, documents, agreements, under the table dealings..everything you need, kept neatly. I'll give you time to even look through them yourself. "
