~ 7 years later... ~
Strange. How it was to see your old town. After 7 years in another country did leave you with memories but coming back to where your life began was uncomfortable yet satisfying.
7 Years living in the Canadian wilderness was an experience for all of the family.
The Twins had grown up into pesky but well mannered kids. They would help keep the activity live inside the house, usually getting into fights over the tv or the warmest spot near the heater.
Kevin had grown to an early teen and helped with his dad bringing in the wood to fuel the fire. He would also get taught by his dad how to handle the rifles and hunting knives that adorned the walls. He was quite the sports fan and would usually practice with his motorbike on the jumps outside or riding around on the dirt track which slithered through the forest. He would also take up the option of a rock climb if it came along.
Michelle despite being the only kid without dark blue hair came up to accept James even though he wasn't her father. She became a woman and soon organised to move away from the house only to live down the road with her boyfriend. James and Lissa did worry about her but knew she was safe.
Lissa grew to the same age as James and carried out her motherly duties. Her relationship with her children and her long term boyfriend strengthed and she soon forget less.
James; unable to age physically past the age of 28 chopped the wood and took up the job as the local gatekeeper to the park. The money he earned supported his family. He would take usual walks in the forest where he'd secretly train himself. He mutated quiet often and used his powers when possible. He'd deliberately take an assortment of both natural an man-made poisons for his body to get used to. He would get sick at certain times where lissa cared for him. But after the many years of body building, mutating and building up his outer and inner defences he had gained back his powers. He read the files he snatched from the government base and as his memory grew back he gained more powers that were locked inside his brain and body.
Then came the time when after the training, they moved back to their native turf.
Damn....
* He drove the 4 Wheel Drive he used inside the nature park. Michelle kevin and the twins all seated in the back as lissa sat on the passenger seat. *
I's weird comin' back to this place after all these years....english blokes sound crazy wiv 'em accents. Heh...lucky i still gots mine...

Do you think the asylum vans are still running around here love?...
* He peered around cautiously as they pulled into the hotel carpark *
